This piece was inspired after a family walk at Talkin Tarn between Christmas and New Year. One of those rare winter days when the sunlight felt bright yet the air was bitterly cold. The lake was still, and for a moment I was stopped in my tracks to take in the calmness of the scene. The reeds gently swaying along the waters edge in beautiful tones of deep orange that caught the afternoon sun.
